From the Heart Sketch 2

From the Heart has started having weekly sketch challenges. Winner of the challenge gets a $5 credit to their store. Each participant receives $1 credit to the store, which can be used individually or saved up and used together for a free image.

Here is sketch 2:

My go at it is:

Image is colored with Copics and Spica glitter pens. Paper is a mix of Papertrey, DCWV and generic kraft cardstock. Embellishments: Recollections pearls and a sand dollar I've had for years that I picked up somewhere along the Oregon Coast.

Not sure how I feel about this one. I'm happy with the coloring and the layout, but overall I think the card is rather plain and uninteresting. Maybe if I'd used different papers, something with a subtle pattern perhaps. Or maybe some dry embossing could have helped give it additional interest. We leave for a long weekend at Seaside tomorrow and I didn't have my usual amount of time to play around with it before uploading (didn't want to miss another deadline.) I'm sure that has something to do with my "eh" feelings about it. Anyway, I'm off to pack.
